Not sure where to look. I grabbed the new Mandrake 9 and installed it to be
a ip router. Now it routes tcp packets on local 192 networks (.1.0 & .0.0)
but will not route to internet. The setup currently is iptables with accept
for forward, input, output (the box is behind a firewall which is a
separate machine)
The box is called eagle, internet firewall is duckling
.1.0 <-> eagle <-> .0.0 <-> duckling <-> internet
eagle has duckling as a defualt gw and can see the net and use it, all
ports (that are opened) but .1.0 network cannot see the net apart from a
proxy I set up.
Now I have a MD8.1 router setup doing the same job, same machine different
hdd, so it is nothing but the software that makes the difference (8.1 works
routing everything to everywhere). I am trying to think of all the possible
things to say, so ask me specific questions.
Thanks, all
Steve B
