I claim responsability for starting the trend.  I did it first during the
combined Brismesh/HUMBUG meeting as a way to get networking to my server
but avoiding the "Brismesh people tripping over cables on the ground cause
they are not used to cables" problem.  Everybody else has copied my since. 
For me it was a once only solution to a particular problem, I went back to
cables on ground afterwards.

I can just barely justify my actions, since it gave the wireless people a
server to connect to when they got it running.
