   Hi Jason,
            Sounds like you might be interested in the Poplog virtual
            machine.I have installed it on Debian Woody and it is
            different.One of the languages you can run in the machine is
            pop11,which was made on and for the PDP11.

            It comes with a fairly full environment and documentation.
