I have collected these (powermac 7200/200), they have 32mb ram each (168 pin edo)
all have 4 gb hdd except one (2gb). Each have a network card that has a
weird slot cxonnector. Each machine also has two unused pci slots and a cdrom drive
that may or may not read CDRW (min 8 speed). Some of these drives I will take out of
the machines when they are no longer needed. The systems are IDE based.
4x mice, 4x keyboards, 4x power cables
I have one mac monitor (about 15 inch) untested at this stage
1x 100 mb switch and a bunch of 1 meter patch leads. The switch I need for
my home network, but if I colocate the cluster here, this shouldnt be a problem.
Ill bring with a 5m extension lead.
We will be short 1 6way power board, I hope someone can bring one along.
If we want to put extra network cards into each, and have a dedicated link between
each, we ill need up to 6 x-over patch leads. I have plenty of cable but no crimping
tool or rj45 connectors, and frequently run out of network cards.
I intend to arrive at about 3pm, and leave at about 7pm (other commitments). I am
hoping someone else can take temporary custodianship, or just drop the cluster at
the end of the evening back at my place in Annerly.
Cheers,
Marco
