I'm sure I made this point last time, but it is worth repeating.
Sometimes there is no choice but to use a crappy or dumb email client. I
suffer from that problem. I have no Internet access of my own, so I use
whatever access I can beg or borrow. Sometimes everything is fine and dandy
and I can use the full range of Unix email tools to do what I need to do via
POP and SMTP from my own computer. The email client I use has a "Reply to
mailing list" button, so I have no problem with what ever the Reply-To
headers say. I used it for this email.
Other times I either have a firewall to deal with, or I am using someone elses
computer that allows web surfing only (Internet cafe, Salvo's, HUMBUG
meetings, etc). In those cases I have to use a web based email client, which
are typically very, um, "basic". Much manual typing of list addresses can be
the result.
On the other hand, there are people that would rather be using Unix, but have
no choice but to use popular non Unix based OS's that shall remain nameless.
So I can imagine Unix users that can't pre-process their email, or do anything
else fancy.
