I have an idea that I will experimenting with when I get back off
holidays. I use my own mail server and procmail rules. Those rules
actually sort mail addressed to the HUMBUG mailing lists into their own
IMAP folders.
To those rules I am going to get procmail to add in a Reply-to header for
me. That way I don't have to change my habits (of just hitting 'Reply')
and the list can stay as it is.
The feature I love about Linux/Unix is the vast amount of choice and tools
you have at your disposal to do exactly what you want to do. Each tool is
does one small simple step but when they are added together you have
created a complex monster that does exactly what you want and is simple to
fix if/when something goes wrong.
