If it's for work (has a business case, budget et al), then it's worth 
spending Real Money on something that isn't Complete Shit. All USB 
webcams fall into that category.

I reccomend an Axis 2100 or 2200 - dear-ish, but they're a nice little 
linux based netcam. We use one, and it works extremely well.
