The DSL-504 is very easy to set-up, I brought mine separately to the ISP
that I sign-up with ( cause I could get it for $367 ). There configuration
is easy if you need to change, but they are all pre-configured to work with
the Telstra infrastructure. If you need help, give me a call.

The ISP I'm looking at can supply a DSL-504 for $449 + $15 delivery.
I can get a DSL-504 from Harris Technology for $399.
This would seem a "no-brainer" on face value, but ...
Does the modem need to be preconfigured with access codes or something. Or
is
it easy enough for an end user to setup - like an ordinary dialup modem
with
account ID and password etc.?
This might seem like a dumb sort of thing to ask, but I have zero
experience
with broadband and broadband devices.
