A new member, Marilyn Weate, is looking for some expertise in various
areas. More information below:

1. I need someone to finalise setting up a proxy server and enabling an
already setup ethernet LAN to safely access the Internet. The LAN
machines comprise 7 SuSE/KDE PC's and 1 Windows98 beast. The server
has a nonGUI SuSE8.0 setup. Remuneration for this is cash up to
$120/hr, but I would like an EXPERIENCED IT professional to tackle
this and especially the security aspects.
2. I would like some Gamers to setup network games. Remuneration
can be any combination of the following: cash $25.00/hr plus food
and beverages, and/or any combination of the following, hardware at
dealers prices, second hand hardware, free on-site broadband access
for 2hrs daily for 12mths, use of LAN for network, internet games,
meetings of special interest two nights a week.
3. Someone to sort out network printing in SuSE8.0 using Netgear print
server, and linux compatible hardware - Lexmark Z25 [have driver for
local printing], and HP Laserjet 4P. Remuneration is as above for
Gamers.
4. Finally just a question. Can someone tell me the names of programs
I could use with motv using QuickCam Express so that people can have
a similar experience to Yahoo's messenger /video/audio chat program?
I have motv working with the camera OK, I just need a similar program
to Yahoo's.
You can reach me on 3895-8011 or marilynweate at netscape.net.au. The
street address for the work is 250 Ipswich Road, Buranda (entrance
next to 'Hot bread bakery').
Thank you very much for any assistance,
Marilyn Weate
