For small enterprises there are other options to tape.

I use an IDE HD in an external firewire case for personal system backups.
This is then kept offsite.  This would work for a small business as well.

The great thing is you get to use cheap cheap disk for your backups.  IDE
drives are also highly reliable.  Initial expenditure of $400-500 then
basically no overheads.

Other options include rsync's over modem (this really works for data up to
a few Mb/day).  Just have the box dialout & establish a PPP connection to
another box offsite.  Exclude any iso images you've downloaded :)
