ahhh, perhaps I didn't explain myself well enough(Perhaps I did to, please
don't take this the wrong way) The FireGL Xfree driver worked fine under
Debian, it was the DRI kernel module that would not detect my card,
unfortunatly I cannot use the ATI DRI Module built by the DRI people as it
does not yet support the R250 chipset(Radeon 9k and pro), the way to check
whether your kernel module is indeed working well enough for neverwinter is
to execute the fglrxinfo program, if it says that your DRI supplier is
anything other than ATI technologies then Neverwinter won't work :), I was
running an updated(but not custom) kernel, I believe it was 2.4.18-bf24.

Certainly :), head over to the Neverwinter Linux messageboard at:
http://nwn.bioware.com and look for a link there, one of the contributors to
that forum actually made the preload, please note that since BETA 3 you no
longer need the patch, only the preload :), Neverwinter is like Crack, if
you have a significant other I suggest you dont play it, as they will leave
you when they realise you love Neverwinter more :), and I am happy to report
it runs like a dream under linux, I get significantly more frames than I do
in Windows 2k.

Indeed mabye you can, it has something to do with Hardware TCL, I know how
to disable it for a R200 chipset, but unfortunatly that doesnt help me too
much, if anyone out there knows how to disable TCL on the FireGL drivers on
a Radeon 9K pro I would love to know :), also I can provide you with some
workarounds if you do experience the ATI Neverwinter bug !
Anything else you need to ask just drop me a line :)
