Hi,

I've just subscribed to Humbug lists :) hoping not to get flamed too much I
think TPG's unlimited plans is a simple marketing exercise. In my opinion,
it will take a few months for them to toe the line with other providers and
impose limits while sacrificing a portion of their client base. When this
happens a lot of people will stay with TPG out of convenience and to avoid
sign up fees elsewhere.

Does that make sense?

cheers!

Martin

I am currently looking at the plans provided by TPG. AS reasonable charge
for an unlimited download although the speed is not lightning fast there are
not that many sites that you are going to be able to access faster than 256k
anyway. Just a suggestion.

Does anyone have any experience with this company as a provider?

Cheers,

Scott.

Price vs speed & download limit. Plus we have friends on iiNet. A colleague
at work had internode until he moved recently, and he had no problems with
them. But last time I checked their website, I didn't see a plan that
offered as much as iiNet offer for their 6gig/6gig plan. And no, their
'unlimited' plan doesn't interest me. As far as that's concerned I may as
well stay with Optus.

The idea is, you let some of your friends hook up first and then ask them
4-5 months later what they think of their ISP. You'll soon find out if it's
a lemon.
