I have a DSL-500 and they are relatively the same (just does not have the
built-in hub option).  It comes preconfigured for Telstra PPPoE.  The web
interface is pretty easy to navigate - although I would recommend you get
latest firmware from d-link to get some updated features.  Also there is a
current bug with them on the SMNP side of things where they expose their
config information (including passwords) via SNMP.  You can get all the
information via bugtraq regarding this issue and the work around.  Here are

NOTE: This particular bug seems to be affecting the DSL-300G and DSL-300G+ as
well.  I have no idea as to if the work-around for the DSL-500 will work for
these devices either as I don't have access to one.
