Well, perhaps my tone was a little acerbic ...

... but glib assertions such as this do irritate me. It's clear you have 
a wealth of skill and industry experience (your writing on the humbug 
lists prove that), not to mention a muchness of experience in actually 
finding and getting work, which is remarkable in itself. In times when 
IT budgets are being slashed and real people are losing their jobs every 
other day, I feel it's a bit unfair to subtly accuse those finding it 
hard to get work of incompetence, social crippledom, laziness and 
dishonesty. I doubt that was your intention, but I wouldn't be amazed if 
people in such a sitation read it that way.

But, yes, likewise, I'll leave this one alone now.
