I had it working fine this time last year. Matrox G400 under SuSE
Linux and KDE (can't remember the versions of the top of my head). One
monitor was 1600x1200, the other was 1024x768. Sorry, but my memory is
not real god about any of the details, so I can't help much from here.
Usually, if I sit down at a machine and try to do it, my memory comes
back. If you are still having problems by the next meeting, let me
know, I'll be there.
One detail I can remember, while Xinerama works on different
resolutions, you loose part of the screen on the one with lower
resolution (it doesn't scale the smaller one to fit), so I just used
two desktops.
