Sorry to dig this up guys, but I also have not been able to send mail from
my Telstra BigCessPool email account so therefore this e-mail has been
sitting around unsent for quite some time :).
I experienced the same problem, being a telstra DSL customer, and like
yourself Tony, I had to set up my own mail server, telstra are saying that
it is something to do with Mac OS timing out while trying to contact the
Mail server, I would say that the Mandrake Router I was using must have the
same problem the Mac OS does, any ideas guys, as I would rather be sending
through the Bigpond server(People get sus when your mail is not coming from
where they are replying to).

thanks all,
         Joe Skilton
