Having recently played with it (although no real benchmarks), I'd
suggest having a peek at Red Hat's Red Hat Database.
It's based on PostgreSQL 7.2.2, with some extra goodies[1].

[1] I haven't tested it yet on evilRasp DeadRat Advanced Server, the
compile of Red Hat's Advanced Server srpms.
