By comparison, Al Viro's reported to be, uh, "less than optimistic". Another
option appears to be "OpenCM", see www.opencm.org.

Oh, and no one's mentioned Aegis, either, which is quite mature, but
a little bit on the B&D side (and really requires NFS access to the
central repository).
