I have installed Redhat 8.0 and searched high and low for the rp3 rpm and it
is not on the downloaded iso's. Do you have to buy the official distro to
get all the packages?

Tried installing it from the official 7.3 disks and then failed a dependency
and couldn't for the life of me remember the rpm command to find out which
package supplied the dependency. I rtfm (man) and still couldn't work it
out so I gave up and used kppp. Supplying the root password each time.

To enable anyone to use kppp do I simply suid the binary to root? IS there
a kppp binary? What are the security implications if I do?

What is the command to find which rpm provides the failed .so dependency so
I can go back to my faithful rp3. Does anyone know why it was dropped?

Any help appreciated.

Scott.
