Just as a quick note for those of interest, the recent interest in Bayesian 
filters for spam can be traced to a recent article on the subject by noted 
lisp hacker Paul Graham [http://www.paulgraham.com/spam.html].  As ESR's 
implementation is an extension on this work, the original paper is well 
worth reading.
