Hi All,

After last night's product launch there are some new developments in the 
Apple laptop market (and probably for future buyers in HUMBUG) including
a new iBook under $2000ex GST ($2063.60 inc).

Remember, those prices below (as explicitly stated) are ex GST so add 10%.

Some exciting developments on the Apple front last night, specifically in
the notebook department. Both the iBooks and the PowerBooks have had an
increase in speed, extras added and the best thing.. a drop in price!!

Here's the rundown of the new offerings:

iBook G3 700Mhz/12.1"/128MB/20GB/CD/Modem - $1876 ex gst.
iBook G3 800Mhz/12.1"/128MB/30GB/CD-RW&DVD/Modem - $2388 ex gst.
iBook G3 800Mhz/14.1"/256MB/30GB/CD-RW&DVD/Modem - $2987 ex gst.
iBook G3 800Mhz/14.1"/640MB/40GB/CD-RW&DVD/Modem - $3457 ex gst.

PowerBook G4 867Mhz/15.2"/256MB/40GB/CD-RW&DVD/Modem - $4087 ex gst.
PowerBook G4 1Ghz/15.2"/512MB/60GB/CD-RW&DVD/Modem - $4958 ex gst.
PowerBook G4 1Ghz/15.2"/512MB/60GB/CD-RW&DVD-R/Modem - $5317 ex gst.

In all notebooks there has also been an upgrade in video technology.
PowerBooks now have the ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 w/32MB or 64MB DDR Video
Memory. The iBooks now come with the welcome addition of an ATI Radeon 7500
w/16MB or 32MB of dedicated video memory.

All in all some excellent revisions... especially the PowerBook which now
comes with a Superdrive... DVD burning on the go! For more information
