A few features of VNC I wish I knew about earlier are;

TightVNC - an extension that adds heavy compression which makes it work
better over slow links, see http://www.tightvnc.org/

Web access - Vncserver running on linux (and I think win32 also) can be
accesses by going to http://youraddess:5801 which means you can access your
box from ANY web enabled client, you don't even need the client, just a
browser.

Tony

Tony,

I have VNCserver running on several machines I control including Windows and
Linux.

http://youraddress:5801/ does not work on any of them.

Is the port correct?

Regards,
Rick Phillips
