Well, that brings me to an interesting thought. I knew that NASA was
doing backup to CD, but they're obviously not the $0.50/CD special from
Woolworths. Are they using some special equipment to produce high
quality burns or stamping?

NASA would already have the controlled environment storage facilities
too. I'm sure that NASA backing up onto CD is done in a completely
different manner to Ma & Pa backuping up onto CD.
