| Well, I will say that (a) I *carefully* label my tapes, and (b)
| labelling cases only is an exercise fraught with danger unless the
| tapes are labelled on the media (as are AMANDA tapes) and can be read
| without the backup/restore software.
Personally, I label the cases, the tapes and the media (with my
own backup software which does amanda-like stuff, but the way I
like it). The only label that matters is the one on the media,
but the others do make it easier for the operators to locate the
tape they need.
BTW, Jason, we seem to have decided to wait until you were well
enough to attend the meeting for that panel on backups ...
