It does not just go for port 80 - he might want to redirect port 25 or
port 6667 or any other port for that matter - it is simply a way of
having a machine on a private lan provide services to the world. I this
case I am willing to bet it puts a linux box between the world and a
machine that is actually running IIS, this way none of those nasty
remote access exploits that let people "own" ms machine become moot
points.
