I wouldnt say its a good quality one, it was only 87$ from www.umart.com.au

im trully puzzled by this, even more so since ive opened port dhcp ports on
the firewall.
as for snmp/web/telnet, Ive tried a few disovery tools on this lan, manually
added the foreign IP with no results.

Actually, the better quality switches do have an IP
address, for snmp / web / telnet based management.
