I tried cups to fix the problem and alas it lended no aid. I did finally
get it working with lprng though, so its all good. Upgradeing my samba
version at 3:30 am this morning certainly helped. 2.2.3a seems to have
fixed much of the problems I was having and upgrading lprng along with
samba also lended some aid I hope. But it is now all working, and I have
about 6 months of printing backed up I need to do.
