I've just managed to 'lock' up a cdburner process, I tried
ps -A | grep cdrecord
and
kill -9 xyz
where xyz was the pid for the 'hung' cdrecord process.
alas my cdburner is still 'hung'.
checking 'mounted' status confirmed the cd was not mounted. (not that it
should have been).
I know there must be something else I should be checking but ??
any suggestions?
Mat.
notes on my system:
the cd-burner is an ide type (not scsi), I am running a fairly stock
redhat 7.2 install using kernel 2.4.9, the redhat install configured the
ide-scsi, ide-cd & cdrom modules which otherwise seem to work fine.
