Hi Greg.  I was going to mention potential legal implications as a result 
of recent legislation & common law on email.  I promptly forgot to I'm 
glad you mentioned this aspect.

This is a great solution to the problem, and as Greg says is not tied to a 
particular MTA so it is highly portable for later use.
