I have an old D-Link single port print server which has a couple of
"quaint" features. It is supposed to be useable with all protocols
(IPX, TCP/IP, Netbeui) however I can only set it up using IPX and
communicate with it for printing purposes using Netbeui. I have never
been able to make it communicate with TCP/IP.

It set it with the management software provided with the unit which
installs on a Windows box. It may work for you too. Mine is a DP-101
but the description of yours fits a DP-303 on their chart. It's a long
shot but you could download their management/interface software and give
it a try. Failing that, I could email the software to you (when I find
it) if you require it. Just send me an email directly if you do.

Oh dearme, it really has been a season for hardware headaches... :)

I need some help with doing some quick'n'dirty ipx networking.

I have inherited a Lantech "Fast Print Server", a neat little box
with a serial and two parallel ports, and an RJ45. It used to work
but it became broke, now useless, nanaa not workin mate. Which is a
pity since it could otherwise be put to very good use back where it
    came from.
