Scott,

Why don't you install from the ports.

And freebsd installs sendmail as a default under install!

Hi everyone,

I need some guidance installing Sendmail on FreeBSD 4.5. I would like to
learn how to compile from the source file obtained from Sendmail.org and
configure my own custom site.mc file.

I have searched the net for a good 'how-to' and have purchased the
FreeBSD Unleashed reference book but still have had no real success -
I'm having issues with the 'local mailer'.

I'm not expecting the answers to be dished out to me but would
appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction eg. urls,
readme's, etc

Thanks in advance,

Scott Harris
