experiencing this wierd behaviour at moment.
made pcmcia disk using
dd if=pcmcia.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k
loads and installs no problem, reaches the stage where it asks for
pcmciadd disk.
create this with
dd if=pcmciadd.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k
seems to load img from floppy OK, can hear FDD clunking away, but HANGS
on screen with message
"initializing PC Card Devices"
This on a Toshiba Satellite 2540CDS, as far as I know there is no faulty
hardware.
I haved repeated this with pcmcia.img files from mirror.aarnet and
planetmirror and from /images on iso images.
all of these filed have the same md5sum result.
this occurs on both 7.3 and 8.0.
ideas?
