For the stuff I have tried veiwing, the few that MPlayer can't handle, Xine
can.  Make sure you install the MPlayer win32 DLL bundle.  As for editors,
I haven't seen an editor that can edit any file format I have, but MPlayer
should be able to recode anything it can play.  I think Xine can too.
