| there's a couple of tutorials on ed at
| http://www.de.freebsd.org/de/7thEdManVol2/
I don't recommend those papers to anybody who actually needs to
read them -- the original papers have numerous errors in them,
largely due to the fact that they describe 7th Edition ed which
is no longer widely available and is quite different from
current implementations; and the conversion to HTML was done in
an incompetent fashion that has made the papers very hard to
read and introduced dozens of new errors that weren't in the
originals but which render those versions close to useless.
For anybody who can wait for a week or two, I think you'll find
the tutorial I am planning will be more useful and much easier
to use.
