You are quite correct. Rick Phillips was the originator and, if Rick's
reason for sending the post was correct - that he had changed over to all
Linux systems - then the html post came from a Linux box.

Outlook simply replied to Humbug (Humbug not Rick Phillips) in the same
style as the message was received, which is what the configuration is set
for (ending a sentence with a preposition). This is quite consistent with my
earlier statement that it was the formatting of the original post; a concept
that Greg Black seemed to have some difficulty with (ending another sentence
with a preposition). Since neither Greg nor AJ Towns commented on the html
in the original post, I suspect that neither was aware that it was html or
it was not an issue.

I tend to reply to people in the style in which they send messages to me.
Unfortunately, I was unaware that the original post was in html. Since I
don't really want to change my email systems at present (for reasons totally
unrelated to Humbug) I will resolve this issue by withdrawing from the
Humbug list.

Thank you one and all for the stimulation I have gained from several (don't
know how many actually) years on the list.

Regards

Frank Brand
