Hi Ian. The HDs in Sun's are rebadged HDs from various manufacturers.
Any Sun box should be able to take any standard HD (you may need to put it
in the caddy or whatever).
Is the box under warranty? If so, I'd check to see whether inserting a
non Sun approved HD will void the warranty (this is an issue I've never
had to investigate myself).
