Other than booting issues, yes there are packages for ReiserFS.
It depends on the kernel package you're running (I don't know what kernel
Potato is up to), or if you're even using packages for your kernel (The
purists out there are probably horrified, but I find that packages get in
the way of kernel hacking). All kernels from 2.4.1 have ReiserFS built
in. Any kernels before that need kernel patches. If you're interested in
packages for this then apt lists the following for "Sid":
kernel-patch-2.4.0-reiserfs - ReiserFS support for Linux 2.4.0
kernel-patch-2.2.17-reiserfs - ReiserFS support for Linux 2.2.17
kernel-patch-2.2.18-reiserfs - ReiserFS support for Linux 2.2.18
Some of these are probably in Potato.
Other than that, you'll need the filesystem tools, such as mkreiserfs:
