Ouch ! That will be one slow machine. I run an old 486DX100 with 20M as my
gateway here and while it's suiteable for the job it's pretty slow. I would
suggest that you should do all your configuration and installation on a
faster machine and then transfer the drive or an image of it to the slower
machine. As an example, to run 'dpkg -i some-little-package' on the DX
takes roughly 2-3 minutes. Doing an install from scratch on one of these
machine is painfully tedious [1].

[2] Although not as tedious as on the old Sun IPC.. took about 30 minutes to
get some packages at a humbug meeting and then about 24 hours to install
them 8^)
