-- Greetings All
The setup I am using is Mandrake 7.2 with KDE2 desktop

I am using Leafnode to pull down the news articles from the ISP server
and Knode (KDE2 Newsreader) to read with. Unfortunately the kill filter
is broken in Knode and I would like to run a script in the /spool/news
directory to remove the idiots posting in some of the NG's.

However scripting is alien to me, I can get grep to identify the files I
want removed (grep -l From: idiot at somewhere *) but I cant get rm or mv
or whatever to then delete or otherwise deal with the dross.

I thought that perhaps the grep output piped to mv or rm may work but I
can't get it to go.
I looked at some of the bash -if then- scripts but these are out of my
league at this stage...although I have collected some helpful learning
material and useful looking scripts from various bash sites....

Can someone give me a broad push ie. write a simple script for me that
will identify the rubbish then I may begin to understand how it works
and adapt it to suit ...

Thanks
