Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the lists...
So at last I've actually had to deal with one of those stupid Outlook
attachment viruses. You can all imagine the rant I'd like to insert
here about whatever was going on in people's heads when they made such
a pathetic attack possible, so I'll leave it unsaid.
In trying to work around this, (background: azure is MX for some domains,
and then forwards mails on via UUCP to some dialup hosts) I've added an
exim filter on both one of the dialup hosts and on azure that'll bounce
things that look anything much like the host of Outlook viruses.
What I'm wondering is whether this is an even vaguely sensible thing to
do for all my mail, or if I'm about to be flamed by millions for bouncing
mail that I shouldn't...
I'm using http://www.exim.org/system_filter.exim, fwiw.
Cheers,
aj

I don't speak for anyone save myself. GPG signed mail preferred.
