Subject: Can you recommend anybody for the following

Dear Sir,

I am wondering if one of your members would be proficient enough to
carry out the following for my company.

1. Install Red Hat Linux
2. Confirm the ability to run 5 desktops from a centralised server on
   this software
3. Set up an existing internet connection on the new server which will
check and download email whilst still allowing the desktops to surf the
   web
4. Connection is a 56K
5. The desktops will download email from the server. what software
will be required to do this function).

The above setup will be carried out on a new server. Server specs still
to be decided once I can find someone with the skills to manipulate
Linux to what we need. Server will require mirrored hard drives for
disk failure resilience. It would be preferred to use software
mirroring rather than hardware.

It is intended that we will be able to create a real server client
network, although the desktops will not store files on the server. The
software that is used on the server in Pronto which is a manufacturing
and accounting package provided by Pronto Software.

Our existing server is a Sco Unix version 3. something, we use Btrieve
server for the communication between the server and the windows based
desktops. I understand that Btrieve may no longer be available so a
recommendation will be required for this as well.

I can be contacted anytime to discuss this matter on 0402 400 276.

Thanking you
