Can anybody think of a good reason why mgetty logs should suddenly stop
appearing in /var/log, but appear in /var/log/messages instead? Not only
that, but the log entries themsleves are less than useful.
Sep 15 14:39:43 yellowshift mgetty[21849]: mgetty: experimental test

process

No such process

Sep 15 14:39:44 yellowshift mgetty[21849]: waiting for ``OK'': No such
process
Sep 15 14:39:44 yellowshift mgetty[21849]: send: : No such process
Sep 15 14:39:44 yellowshift mgetty[21849]: waiting for ``OK'': No such
process
Sep 15 14:39:45 yellowshift mgetty[21849]: waiting...: No such process
I'm slightly boggled as to where the "No such process" is coming from.
I'l guessing some command substitution has gone awry, though I can't
find anything obvious.
The modem bank for this small ISP is working perfectly in all other
respects, however. Further bogglement.
