Yes, I had not changed my colour depth in Win for a while and had forgotten
the (non-default) option of doing it without rebooting.
I had hardly used Windows for about 4 years but I have been so frustrated with
what I have encountered I tend to be using Windows exclusively now to use the
internet. Certainly not by choice, I find the variety and quality of a lot of
the Linux programmes great but KDE, Gnome, Netscape still have a way to go. I
have always had troubles with Netscape but I did not have all the other
problems in Red Hat 5 for instance.
