If you mean for wordwrapping, :set wrapmargin=10 will wrap 10 columns
before the right edge; this is suitable for mail.  I trust you didn't wrap
your lines at 70 columns because you didn't have the vi setting, not
because you use a GUI that lets you type long lines.
