[Not internal modems, surely?

Though I can see how a 6 PCI slot linux box with 6 dedicated modem cards
(say, each with a PRI) would be cheaper than a Cisco 5300 or somesuch at
retail pricing. 

Actually, such a beast would be a dream machine for ISP's - far better
than waiting three months for Bay/Nortel to come up with patches (or
even admit problems, doncherknow).

I've got a couple of old Stallion cards lying in my Box-O-Bits at home.
I might just have to start my own ISP - I wonder if pissweak.net.au is
taken ...
