Personally I am too busy with other projects atm.  But people who are
interested should have a look at

Icecast MP3 streaming server.

Apples Quicktime Streaming Server.
http://www.publicsource.apple.com/projects/streaming/

The second still requires a cross-platform OSS player, but the server is
there, and the APL is acceptable, even if it isn't as good as the GPL.
