[H-GEN] Crosscompiler/crossinterpreter

I program for microcontrollers and am just curious if there is a cross 
compiler or crossinterpreter between some of the languages like perl, 
python, etc to C. I mostly program in either assembler or C BUT if there is 
a way of getting the same output to either C or assembler that is either 
compatable with the Intel (MC51) or Atmel (AVR) would be wonderful. Just a 
question, I do already have a C compiler and an assembler that do work 
right now but was looking at expanding programming vocabulary
