I've been following this on BugTraq, several overflows have been found in
the older versions.  1.2.0Pre5 is the current stable version.

The ProFTPd web site (http://www.proftpd.org/) mentions several versions
as the "current stable version".  Their ftp site at
ftp://ftp.proftpd.org/distrib/
has up to version 1.2.0Pre3, though version 1.2.0Pre5 is available at 
ftp://ftp.tos.net/pub/proftpd/

ftp://ftp.tos.net/pub/proftpd/pgp/ claims to contain signatures for the
files.  Anyone want to check the signature against the proftpd groups
signature?
