: Hmmmm, just had a play with the "Networking Options" under "make menuconfig"
: (I'm sorry, but tcl/tk is just such a dog on a P133 so I never use xconfig
: !)
: "[*] IP: always defragment (required for masquerading)" only shows up if
: "[*] Network firewalls" is enabled.
Yeay, I thought about that, but I couldn't see how the original poster
could get IP masq without Network firewalls being enabled either :)
: Oh, and you are enabling packet forwarding after booting? Do a "cat
: /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward" to check. It should return 1, if you get 0,
: then it's not enabled. To enable it, do "echo 1 >
: /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward"
That is an excellent point.
Cheers,
-Robert
