[ Humbug *General* list - semi-serious discussions about Humbug and
Unix-related topics. ]

Raymond Smith <raymonds at uq.net.au> moved upon the face of the 'Net and spake thusly:

> Nov  5 00:10:38 avon kernel: registered device ppp0
> Nov  5 00:10:38 avon pppd[1195]: pppd 2.3.3 started by root, uid 0
> Nov  5 00:10:38 avon pppd[1195]: Using interface ppp0
> Nov  5 00:10:38 avon pppd[1195]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/cua1
> Nov  5 00:11:08 avon pppd[1195]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
> Nov  5 00:11:08 avon pppd[1195]: Connection terminated.

"debug".

When debug is on, there should be a whole lot of stuff that looks like

rcvd [LCP somestuff]
sent [LCP morestuff]

in a log file somewhere (possibly on stdout, or /var/log/debug,
depending on software version and config).

If you send me that, I can probably help....

It's boring being a program when your only job is inserting a random .sig.
Muggins thinks I've put his .sig here, won't he be surprised...
